Lazy Blueberry Cinnamon Ice Cream

I must confess...I have STILL yet to get an ice cream maker- so until I do, this method somewhat pacifies my rare ice cream cravings.

ingredients:
1/4 cup almond milk
3 frozen bananas (best put the bananas in the freezer about 3 hours beforehand)
2-3 dates (depends what you like)
handful of blueberries
cinnamon to taste

method:
put almond milk, bananas, and dates in the blender. shake it live a polaroid picture.
afterwards mix in the cinnamon and blueberries.
if you want it to be a little thicker, cover the mixture and put it back in the freezer for another 30 minutes.

enjoy the guilt-free trip to heaven! what would your mummy say if she knew you were having ice cream for breakfast? tsk tsk tsk...

Chlorophyll Smoothie

My Mum and I have been drinking our daily (sometimes twice-daily) green smoothies now for
about 2 weeks and have truly felt the benefits! I have yet to break out in an awful spot since my first sip and we have experienced boundless energy.
The main ingredients for a green smoothie are completely up to you. Usually a green smoothie has about 60% veg 40% fruit.
this chlorophyll smoothie contained:
1 handful parsley
1 head romaine lettuce
4 handfuls spinach
2 stoned,chopped dates
1 small gala apple
1 bunch mint
this one didn't have very much fruit in it at all because the dates more than make up for it with their sweetness.
apples and bananas are always great fruits to tone down the "green smell" and usually 1 banana and 1 small apple will do perfectly.
make sure you vary the greens you eat everyday to get all the different nutrients each one offers.

Gooey Graham Cracker Custard

Now I am completely content with naked lettuce and sauce-less salads, but sometimes especially in the morning or at night...or mid-day or afternoon or midnight. ANYWAY, sometimes I just NEED something gorgeously sweet with my fruit. this is the remedy I turn to.

Gooey Graham Cracker Custard:

1/2 handful raw almonds
1 cup almond milk
3 stoned,chopped dates
cinnamon to taste

directions: put almond milk, almonds, and dates in blender and blend until smooth. mix in cinnamon to taste afterwards (or in the blender-I just do it in a dish)

then pour over fruit. i recommend pouring over fruit because it's quite sweet- though I don't have the largest sweet tooth so those who do may find it perfectly edible on its own.

for the fruit salad I used apple, blueberries, blackberries, and plum. (slightly tangy fruits like the blueberries and blackberries taste GORGEOUS with this!)

this one always wakes me up and gets me ready for a long day!

I must apologize. I am completely naive to blog etiquette, and therefore have no clue how to start off my first blog entry....

what to say!?!?!?!? what to do!?!?!?!?

I fear I must resort to the awfully boring "hello" followed by it's equally boring counterpart "how are you?"

Oh I do promise I won't always be so mundane! sometimes I will greet you with a "good afternoon!" (even if it is the morning)... or If I'm feeling terribly daring it may be a "what's NOT cooking, good looking?"...

ahhhh NOT cooking..often called UNcooking (a word I use less often as I immediately conjure up images of someone desperately trying to undo what has been cooked--not pretty)

ANYWAY...uncooking is precisely what this blog shall be about!

I, my dear, dear friends, have fallen in love with all that is raw vegan and in this blog I plan to share with you recipes, tips, downfalls, and all that is good and yummy.

Raw food is, in my opinion, the healthiest diet in the world and after spending ages reading countless blogs on peoples raw discoveries, daily life, blah blah blah-- I have decided to start my own blah blah blah blog. fun fun!!

and so this ends the first entry... I plan on updating tonight with all the lovely pictures and recipes I've eaten and plan on eating today so stay tuned!!!
